ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
For over 21 years, foolsFURY has been making and producing groundbreaking theater that inspires audiences and artists alike. Through our visceral performances, professional workshops for artists, and the biennial FURY Factory Festival, we foster community and bring joy.
Despite COVID, wildfires, and amid the fight for racial justice, we remain resilient and hopeful. We’re shaping a bold new vision for 2021 and beyond. We are transforming ourselves into an organization that prioritizes anti-oppression and equity, cultivates spaces for QTBIPOC artists, and centers human relationships above all else. And you are a part of that vision.
We are breaking the model to create a better, more equitable future. Let’s build it together.

how we're breaking the model
We need to raise $25,000 to help fund new programs and initiatives for 2021 and ensure fiscal discipline as we grow! Your support will help fund the following:
Programs, Shows & Workshops
While we are investigating ways to make art safely together both physically and digitally, we are excited by the opportunity to reach more folks than ever before. Until we are able to be in physical spaces together, we are moving most of our programs, training, and shows to a digital platform.
Expanded programs and new performances include:
The Library Project a major new immersive theatrical experience in collaboration with playwright Katie Pearl, premiering 2021/22
FURY Factory 2021 will include a national convening with more featured artists and programming. Will include livestreaming and (maybe) in-person performance
New, company-member led performance and workshops
Early-career artist leadership series
Expanding and Investing in Our Staff
While making art is a full-time endeavor, our industry often undercompensates artists and regulates them to part-time wage earners. Economic justice demands that we pay our artists, staff, and collaborators a living wage for the work they do. We have a vision to right-size our budget over the next three years to offer wages that are commensurate to the Bay Area’s cost of living and we are committed to building our capacity to meet this challenge.
Initiatives include:
Building staff capacity in marketing and financial operations
Increasing wages of all artists and collaborators
Investing in a QTBIPOC early-career artist cohort.
New planned staff include a Festival Director for 2021 to curate and lead the next iteration of our renown FURY Factory Festival.
