Theater Archivist
Position Duration: 11/15/21 to latest 2/15/22
COMPENSATION and HOURS:
● $30/hr. 8 weeks approximately 10- 20 hours/week
● Remote position - can be based anywhere in the US
ARCHIVIST DUTIES INCLUDE:
● Leading the Legacy Project in collecting and organizing materials that capture the workings and productions of ensemble and devised theatre
● Finding and collaborating with a San Francisco Bay Area-based archive to house the collection.
● Collaborating with board members, executive staff, and key legacy holders in foolsFURY Designing an organizational system or working in collaboration with an archive library that will preserve a range of multimedia materials
● Analyzing the relevance & quality of a variety of materials, both analog & digital.
WHO YOU ARE:
The ideal candidate for this position will:
● Demonstrate knowledge of theater and have previous archive experience. Knowledge of library science highly preferred
● Be well organized, enthusiastic communicator with strong analytical & computer skills
● Possess an ability to engage and lead others in the project to collect historical as well as contemporary information and media related to foosFURY productions, workshops, convenings, and the FURY Factory Festival
● Have a high degree of integrity, strong collaboration skills across race, gender, ability and age, and a steadfast commitment to inclusion and equity.
● Possess strong cultural competency. We strongly encourage BIPOC, gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, non-binary and disabled candidates to apply.

We seek a board that has folks with varied backgrounds, lived experience, different career choices, age, genders and a love of arts and culture. While this is an artist-centered organization, we consider the board to be a part of our ensemble, a vital part of the whole organization. Both foolsFURY ensemble members, working professionals from other sectors and theater lovers all work together to ensure the organization's stability and future.
